NEW TALENT: Eleanor Amoroso

I first came across this designer on www.notjustalabel.com a website which celebrates new designers and illustrates their work and I was instantly impressed. I then came into contact with Eleanor’s AW 2012 collection during London Fashion Week where she was showing at Vauxhall Fashion Scout and her beautiful and uniquel garments made her stand out from the rest.

Graduating from the University of Westminister in 2010 Eleanor has gone from strength to strength. Her collections “encompass modern elegance and a tough, darker side” but the most intriguing aspect of Eleanor’s brand is the fact that each piece is hand and not machine made.

Her work has been previously described as a ‘commemoration of the forgotten art of craftsmanship’ and was featured on the cover of Volt Magazine on model Alice Dellal, just months after graduating. This lady deserves recognition not only for her beautiful garments but for the extremely hard work which goes into making them.

Above are some images from her S/S 2O12 collection, a collection based on handcrafted garments and accessories made from long lengths of fringing.
