Ultimate jewelry crush: MAWI

I was able to get into Somerset House on the first day of London Fashion Week and have a look around some of the designer’s exhibitions. Thank god I did because I found the most amazing jewelry brand, MAWI “A jewellery house with an emphasis on luxurious statement pieces”. What really stands out is their merging of cutting-edge contemporary style with traditional influences and materials resulting in edgy designs with a sophisticated touch, it really does offer you the best of both worlds! Marrying together her love for trinkets of yesteryear and a bold contemporary vision, Mawi’s collections provide an ornamental meeting place for the past, present and the future. Her individual style has earnt her world wide recognition aswell as an impressive celebrity following.

The brand is divided into two collections- Fine Costume and Heirloom.

The Fine Costume collection draws inspiration from architecture, sculpture, industrial and futuristic forms with an emphasis on high end luxury. Fine Costume represents a fashion forward ground-breaking take on statement jewellery through exploring materials and new techniques. Pushing the boundaries of traditional aesthetics and in turn creating cutting edge sculptural separates that are collector’s items in their own right.

The Heirloom collection harks back to the past taking inspiration from vintage and estate jewels, family heirlooms, royal and historical influences creating pieces of treasures that can be cherished now and passed on to future generations.

These pieces really are as unique and jaw droppingly gorgeous as they sound, have a look for youself on www.mawi.co.uk alternatively you can visit MAWI’s first stand-alone flagship store in London’s east end, Shoreditch:
